Has anyone removed the left and right trim plate on a 94 FWB? it's the plastic simulated wood strip under the dashpad. It's held in place by clips but it seems like it could snap real easy. I was wondering if anyone has a trick to remove it without destroying it. Thanks

I had that off when I swapped the dashpad for a better one. Use a plastic tool if you can and work gently and slowly from the outboard edge. Once the outer edge comes up, then you can go vertically from below and pry closer to the remaining clips.

If you are removing the dashpad, be careful of the A-pillar trims upon reinstallation. A friend tore his trim cover with the dash pad edge.

I slowly pry on them .. prying straight out... half the time the clip stays on the plastic and the other half they pull off and can drop down and be tough to find..many times when they pull off they will stay in the hole in the dash.... if you grab them with needlenose plyers and get them out before they fall you will be doing good... try to grab them with your fingers and they will fall in the dash...The plastic has never broken on me...
