Don't buy used parts for that. New are cheap. You take off the bag with screws from the back, then unplug the bag and horn. Then you need a steering wheel puller to get the wheel off. I'll find you another thread with the pics...

This is how to replace the stalk
This is the turn signal switch:

Note that if the only problem is that it won't cancel, all you need to replace are the springs:

If the high/low beams don't work it is this switch. However, if the mechanic was screwing around with the turn signal, it is entirely possible that he dislodged the rod that goes from the turn signal stalk to the dimmer switch.
