Removing Emblem from Grille?

Hello, i plan to buy a CTV aftermarkt grill but it does not come with the Caddillac emblem on it.

does any1 know how to safely remove the emblem from the orginal grill and secure it to the new grill without damaging the original grill at all?

Please do help, step by step instructions with pictures would be fantastic!

Got the hic-cups eh? Double post.

Just heat it up good with a hair dryer and pull some fishing line or floss behind it. Use Goof Off to remove any remaining adhesive. Simple DIY.

Yup. Make sure you heat the adhesive pretty good, and it will come off easily. I also recall there being several guide pins on the actual emblem (it's in two pieces), to be aware of. Another alternative is to cough up the $20 and get a new emblem from the dealer. Getting the old emblem to adhere to a new grill is all dependent on what adhesive you use (double sided tape, etc).

3M makes an adhesive special for this project.

Actually, the cost is closer to $35. It's two pieces and they are priced separately.

Guess what RT..I'm the most frequent poster at the H3 Forum already. R limabean even posted over there. I think he misses me or he's gonna get a Hummer too. I hope not. . Surprize you?
