So I have some nice aesthetic plans but I can't figure out how to get the fake trim off of the doors - anyone have an idea what is the best/fastest way to get to them ?

What trim exactly? If you mean the outside rubber seal, middle one, and inner molding, it's all one big piece. Just pull it down it's held up by pressure, and no glue.

You have to remove the whole door trim (use plastic trim removal pry bars). The inserts are held in by like 4-5 screws.

the door trim is held on by 2 big screws and lots of pressure fitting screws. Pull the screws off, and then the pressure fitting screws and it all comes off. Unhook the wire plugs and your good to go.
