I've had my 2013 ATS for a month. Yesterday, the remote transmitter stopped working unless it was "plugged in" in the console. What can I do? Thanks!

Haven't heard of that problem before.

If the car has less than 70k miles, it should be covered by warranty so a dealer will fix it for free.

Good luck and welcome to the forums.

That sounds like a weak battery in your remote. Does your other remote work ok? If so, replace the weak battery.

the reason the car will start when the key is in the programing spot is because it doesn't require battery power.

Same thing in a dodge with push to start. when the battery dies the keyless go wont work so you simple use the key to push the start button and it will start.

battery is my guess as well.

uses a cr2032 available all over

Warranty will cover a battery for the fob also if you need a new one, def. sounds like you do assuming the other fob is still functioning.
