I had intermittent issues with both ft seat heaters. After finding a poor harness connection under the pass seat which I ended up soldering in a jumper wire because the heat damage to the tiny connectors ruined them. Seats then worked fine since. Till yesterday. I started the truck remotely, went out 5 min later to find both front seats warm with out the buttons pushed or the display icons on. After the key was inserted and turned the seats must have shut off because the were cool in a few minutes. Push the button and they work normally. I just don't understand why they are on when I use the remote start. Maybe I'm losing my grip and never noticed they have always done that. Anybody else's on without pushing the buttons? I'm sure they were not ever on before.

If the outside temperature is below a certain level - the system senses it and turns on the heated seats as well as the heater when the car is started remotely. Interestingly though - if the outside temp is warm when you use the remote start, the A/C comes on, but the cooled seats don't.

Thanks for the info. I just did not ever remember the seats being warm for all the times I have used the remote start. Maybe my original prob with the seat heaters started earlier than I thought.

If i am not mistaken you have to have the mode set to auto and it will turn on the seat heaters rear defrost etc on accordingly. Check your manual. Try it

If i am not mistaken you have to have the mode set to auto and it will turn on the seat heaters rear defrost etc on accordingly.

You don't have to have the mode set to AUTO for the front seat heaters to come on. I never operate in AUTO and my seat heaters come on.

I think its independant to anything. I do know that they turn on when its cold enough. It does not show on the AC unit that they are on. I have done tons of noticing this winter after I had my control module with the burn connector replaced.
