Ats drivers on this forum seem to be the most informed on rumors. Has anyone heard any further details as to whether this will really happen? Is the CT6 supposed to be the consolation prize? ....or is it typical Cadillac hype and jive.....:mad2:

I don't know but I would love to see one of those driving down the road. Love that car. It says Cadillac like back in the day but only 100 times better. That is the ultimate looking luxury car and should be put out on the roads. And please don't tone it down if released.

They scraped the idea years ago, it's just a concept that won't go anywhere

What do you mean scrapped years ago? It was just recently officially released in 2013. Just wondered if perhaps the upcoming flagship or CT8 or CT9 with similar styling is in the offing. The CT6 doesn't seem to be it.

There was actually another car in the planning stages along with the CT6 that they say they scraped due to it being to similar to the CT6.
Hopefully they put out something that is very different than what they are offering now. But they did say somewhere no Elmiraj it was just a concept design..

It would truly be a shame if the only thing taken away from this concept vehicle is the wreath less emblem....the 3D lighting, grill, interior and exterior styling seems to garner very little if any negative reactions. In short, people love this vehicle.; can't we once get what we like?

Just kidding. Although they won't build the Elmiraj or Ciel, GM/Cadillac has been designing and building cars over the last 10+ years that many of us never thought they would (XLR/V, CTS/V, ATS/V, and upcoming CT6 ). No reason not to hope for a Elmiraj-like car in the future.

The Elmiraj is every Cadillac lovers ultimate fantasy.....it would be an UNBELIEVABLE seller......why wouldn't they want to build a winner. I think more people are passionate about the nostalgic style it evokes than the ATS, which, granted is an incredible vehicle.

It would probably sell very well in the 50+ bracket, which has money, but perhaps Cadillac is concerned it would bring back the old man image??

IDK.....just trying to figure out why they would not build a winner like this!

Absolutely love it....it is the modern day Eldorado.
