I refilled my ac compressor with refrigerant last week, it was fine, today i had a problem. When the ac was on, my brakes felt different, the car lurched foward at a stop multiple times and when i put it in park the engine started making a loud sound.

I turned off the ac and all symptoms went away, the belts on, no codes, i think at first blush the compressors going, but how does that relate to idle control?

Any repair ideas and safe to drive?, ac off obviously,

Thank you thank you in advance,

I refilled my ac compressor with refrigerant last week,

I turned off the ac and all symptoms went away,

possibly overcharged -

with the AC running -
post BOTH the high and low pressure readings -
along with the ambient temperature -
and the center duct temp
with the control set to 60*
and medium fan speed -

I tried to follow the instructions. It said connect the can get a pressure reading and run it, dont fill past green.

It never gave me a pressure reading and it sucked up the whole can in maybe a minute. Low port.

Dude those can o freon with gauges are junk and just cause more issues than they fix. You need a set of gauges that reads high and low side pressures as already stated.
