While driving today, my purse fell off of the center console onto the back floor. When I picked it up, three small red lights appeared on the speedometer between the speeds of 60 - 80. It quickly disappeared.

Can anyone tell me why this happened? I drove for another 45 minutes and everything seems to be fine.

I know what could have happened. If you're driving at 80, and reaching for your purse on the back floor, you could have bought the ranch! Sounds like you're a bit of a menace on the road. Pay attention! Consider this a gentle scold.

Was anything in front of you? What comes to mind is the Parking Assist function.

No, I had just pulled out of my driveway, and wasn't even at the end of my street. But, yes, parking assist was on. I will keep an eye on that feature. Thank you!

Mine makes noise even when nothings appears to be close. I suspect rain (bugs and all sorts of other things) can cause it to sound. For the most part, it has been reliable though.

When it makes noise, do you see three red spots. They appear on the speedometer between the numbers of 60 through 80?

Sometimes red. Other times amber. Sometimes, I get an alert if I pull too close to a wheel stop (or curb) while parking.
