When I'm driving I have the recirc turned on quite a bit. However, I still get a lot of outside smells in the cabin, such as heavy diesel exhaust on the freeway, or things like farm smells. It's way more so than in my wife's Buick or even my very old Tahoe. I'm wondering if this is common or if it could be a bad door or motor.

I can hear an audible change in the air flow when it is turned off and on. And it is a newer cabin filter with charcoal.

Curious if.others have dealt with this before I start trying to pull things apart.

Doesn't happen on mine unless I hit recirculation too late, then it takes some time for the air to clear, but no new odor comes in after that as long as recirculation is active.
