Hey guys new to the forum here....
Anybody recently start a lease on a new 2005 V? If you don't mind, how much down and what are the payments? I have a year and half left on the GTO's lease and was probably going to wait till late '06 to grab a good deal on a 2006

Although it seems they don't discount V's much since they are low supply at model year end?:hmm:

Thanks, Felix

You can pick up an 05 now at Gm Supplier...about 1% below invoice - $1000 in GM Bonus Cash.

Unfortunately, the lease deals are over. I picked up a V in July when GM was running a 3.95% Lease APR, an inflated residual and a $2500 / $3000 Bonus Cash for Lease / Smart Buy. The current rate shows 9.45% on the web = 8.45% to the dealer, and no cash. At the moment, the lease is not a good deal. If you want to lease, wait for the 2006 and see what they offer. Jan is a slow month typically.

You can keep an eye on www.gmbuypower.com and go to estimate payment under GMAC drop down. It will show current lease payments on all GM cars.

I got in after the advertised deals but during the good GMS pricing in August on a 2005. Residual was 56% and they started with a 5.5% rate but I talked them down to 4.5%. I put $1500 down and the payment is $630 / month + tax for 3 year 36K miles. The cap cost was around $46K and MSRP was $53K (sunroof car). Remember that the residual is calculated from MSRP, not purchase price or cap price.

Thanks for the help guys.....I would seriously consider jumping on that 590/month lease. But I still have a year and half on the GTO, the deep discounts the 04 GTO had would make it hard for me to "sell" my lease.

Just out of curiousity alcast082, how many payments do you have left?

IF you want to lease a V now you can take mine for 1000 down and 590 a month.
I went to the auto show here in miami and the new RS4 is looking quite interesting.
Hmmm... What model year do you have? How many months left? How many miles per year? Lastly, is it a lease or a smart buy? (no leases in NY because we have crazy liability laws)

my lease is $637/month; $0 down, but with $1,000 in GM Card cash; 3yr/36K; they threw in 5 oil changes (although I enjoy doing myself so will not use them until the dead of winter) could have done better with the employee discount, but not by much; did the deal late May and absolutely NO regrets!!!

A few people are forgetting to mention what the sticker prices were on your car. Thats an important part.

My car, with moonroof and the LG2 suspension stickered at $53,945.00. I put $3000 down and my payments are 602 including tax. I bought mine 6/10/05 under the employee pricing and got their buy rate for the lease too. I'm in the car biz as well. That was the best program I'd seen on a V so far, so we'll see how the 06's lease out.

The sticker on my car was a little above 52000, IT has 6800 miles and I believe I did a 42 month lease through wells fargo, I need to pull out all my paper work and check it out. It has sunroof and all the other goodies the car comes with. I've had the car for 5 and a half months and have 15000 miles a year. It is a lease.
