Rear wiper blade hits spoiler on its way to upper position

This is about XT5, 2017
I've replaced the rear blade with the original ACDelco blade.
However now, when the rear arm goes back to spoiler, it raises the blade above the glass a bit and slightly hits the spoiler. If I push arm with the blade down (to lay it on the glass), next time it works, it does exactly the same.
Anyone experienced something like this? Why wiper blade raises and why it does not travel over the glass all the time?

its kinda early, but one thought is the hold down spring inside the arm?, on my classic i was able to unhook it and give it a turn which helped....or you could source a new arm?

stretched? or simply poor quality....look on rock auto or GM parts direct.....as a SWAG 30 bucks?

Probably pop the cover remove one nut and pop it off......take it to the dealer......or any GM dealer....

How did you replace the wiper? Did you just pull it down and try to put a new one on?

1. Put the vehicle in ACC/
ACCESSORY and turn on the rear
windshield wiper. The wiper will
stop pointing down. See Rear
Window Wiper/Washer 0 103.
2. Push ENGINE START/STOP to
turn the vehicle off.
3. Lift the wiper arm away from the
window.
4. Push the release lever (2) to
disengage the hook and push the
wiper arm (1) out of the blade
assembly (3).
5. Push the new blade assembly
securely on the wiper arm until
the release lever clicks into place.
6. Start the engine and the rear
wiper will return to its normal
position

Yes, I've followed the steps as on that Youtube video. There were no problems with that.
The issue began after completion the replacement procedure.
Probably Tripwire was right assuming that the spring in the wiper's arm is not functioning properly anymore.
So, I need to look at the spring but, because of very tight space over there, I can not imagine how to reach this spot.
Any instructions on how to remove spoiler?

I cannot see anything at or near the upper park position that would raise the wiper blade assembly. If the blade contacts the glass during the sweep, I think your spring is OK.

I can lift the wiper arm against the spring pressure in the park position about 1/2" before it hits the spoiler. It then returns firmly to the glass.

When you push it down, does the wiper contact the glass squarely?

Have you compared the new wiper to the old? Is there any difference in height or length?

Can you post a picture of your wiper in the park position?

I fixed it!
I was able to remove whole arm from the car. After unscrewing the nut, surprisingly the arm came off the rod quite easily: no special tools required. I just pried it up with a big screwdriver.
It appeared that spring and the arm have no damages. However, the spot around connecting pin (as per photo) rusted very much so that the spring just could not pull the arm down.
So, I applied WD-40 to the pin and worked 80-100 manual ups and downs.
When the arm at that joint started moving freely, I installed it back to the car.
Now, everything works properly.

Thank you very much guys for your quick support and ideas!

Nicely, done, @C_config - I believe this saved you a ton of money - not to mention the satisfaction of doing it yourself!!!

I have never had a rear wiper that was perfect. On my 2018 XT5 it used to stop wiping if the glass was too dry. Then i would need to get out and help it along manually. I replaced the blade which is a bit better, but still the same issue. It also goes back to its park position after ever wipe with a noise as if it ran over something. At least I haven't had to replace the wiper motor, which i had to do in my SRX 3 times - ugh!
