So i replaced my left rear wheel bearing about 1 and half year ago/20k miles ago and its making noise again. Bought the pricy ac delco bearing. Did i get a bad part or bad luck? Think ill get the cheaper Timken bearing next. Heard good things about them.

Its not too bad. I did mine in a little over an hour.

I'm not sure about the ac delco bearing but being in the trucking industry for 20 plus years we used timkin bearing everytime w could find one for the application. Always worked excellent and seemed very well constructed. Jesse

Timken works fine, we use them on STS, CTS, SRX for many years now

I've always had goodluck with Timken and SKF bearings.

I will second SKF, but did you torque the axle nut to spec? If not the preload was not set correctly and that will cause premature bearing failure.

Ill be sure to look up the torque spec and request he use a torque wrench when he tightens. Not sure how my mechanic tightened it.
