Yesterday I came outside and found my driver's side rear view mirror had popped out away from the door. No obvious damage to the mirror but it will not stay in place. I can't find anything broken inside either it just hangs by the cord. I've owned 3 DTSs and this has never happened to me before. I'm trying to figure out if this is vandalism or just a fluke occurrence.

Anyone have experience with something like this?

It loosened up and the nuts on the back side finally rattled off. Just dealt with mine last week. The good news is the nuts are laying in the bottom of the door panel and can be retrieved by removing the panel.

I caught mine while washing the car. It was loose. Two of the three nuts were off.
