So my safety inspection is coming up at the end of the year and i know that they will not pass her on the rear suspension, wheel alignment, and a bent rim.
I've been looking for suspension parts(shock and coil) but i'm having a really hard time finding anything, every web site give me the run round. The front are in better condition and will pass. to give you an idea the rears from the middle of the lugs to the lip the of wheel well sagged 2 whole inches. And it visibly noticeable with out measurements
What have you guys used to replace the worn out suspension? coil overs? new shocks? something stronger to handle the cars massive weight and the torque.

Thank your for the help.

the Monroe #71801 is the correct rear air-assisted shock for your car -

the best price today is $53.67 - each - with free shipping -
http://www.amazon.com/Monroe-71801-Sensa-Trac-Strut/dp/B000C59O1E

if the other components of the ELC - Electronic Level Control are intact and working properly -
these are a direct-fit replacement unit -

if either the compressor assembly or the level switch are NOT working properly -
you COULD install a manual fill kit - to inflate the air shocks -

the manual fill kit is Monroe #AK29 - it runs about $10 -

I need to do some more reading and investigating but i'm unsure that the car is on air suspension.
What would be a clear indicator that she was/is.... as i am not the first owner. (she older then i am =/ )
Air compressor...where does she live? is there a compressor or completely internal system?
Ive run codes before and i never got any thing about elc, about to go run them again.
I can get photos if it help you guys with a clear and definitive answer.
-Thank you

Thank you for the diagram very helpful. I just got back from looking at this and changing my brakes.
How can i tell if it the shocks need replacement and not the compressor?
The boot cover had some wear. Ill check that all these connections are still connected

And on side note. My rear brakes, on the passenger side, the outer brake pad was nearly gone and the inner had lots of pad, to the point that one side still can be reused(not even past the grove). but i replaced it anyways. is this a job for the shop to be calibrated? took a photo of it also.
-Thank you for the support.

that means the caliper slide hardware was hanging up -

Bounce the rear end up and down. When you stop the car should rebound once and then stop. To check the ELC system, start the car, open the trunk and sit on the sill (might need another body if you are a lightweight). You should hear the compressor run and the rear end lift and level off.
