I need to remove the rear seat in my 96 eldorado so I can remove the interior side panels. They are shrinking at the rear window. I'm told that the best way to repair them is to pop rivet the shrinking vinyl to the frame from behind, but i can't get the seat to release and I dont want to break something else.Anyone done this repair before?

92 eldo
in kneeling on floor facing back seat
push seat away from you push down and then pull up.
I had to fiddle with the seat for a little till it got loose
that is for the bottom part of the seat didn't try the back yet

Another thing to try is pulling the cushion up from the back and tilting it towards the front.
