Help!

We purchased a 05 Escalade ESV in June and now that the weather is getting cool in Virginia, have started to use the rear heat (not seat heat).

My wife and I are very disappointed at the lack of hot air from the rear heating system. Today, my wife drove for almost 30 minutes and told me the air was cool that was blowing out the rear vents.

has anyone else had this problem and been down the path of resolution with the dealer?

Can any fellow owners of 05 ESV's confirm they are having the same problem, or not?

Silverbuell,
We have not heard of any problems. Have you checked to make sure you have your settings correct to operate the rear controls. If you have the dial by the rear-view mirror set to Auto, then the temp knob next to it controls the temp coming out in the rear of the truck. If you have that knob set to Aux. then the controls in the back by the center console control the temp coming out in the rear of the truck. If you have that correct then I see a trip to the dealer in the near future. and BTW, :welcome:

I tried my rear heat last night, worked great, maybe not as hot as the front, but plenty warm enough.

My rear ducted hea is fine too, as hot as the front.

Funny, that on my 99 (dont know if the system is similar) my front a/c didnt get cold like my rear a/c. The dealer couldnt find out what was going on (just recommending I keep replacing expensive parts until they figure it out with $100 diag charges everytime :rant2: ) Maybe this is a similar prob, but you should be under warranty so let us know how it worked out.
