I couldnt find the answer to my exact issue , so i need to ask.
Rear passenger door lock works sometimes.. It's a gamble when the lock will work. Every time i lock and unlock using the key fob, or the switch from the door, i can see the rear lock jump a little bit, like it wants to open..It's trying. I can hear the electronics working in the door each time, But it doesn't go up enough to unlock. Then...sometimes it will open. I don't understand it.

what could it be?

BTW, thanks to this forum..I just replaced the font passenger handle housing, so now that door will open from the outside:worship:

Mine would do the same thing when it was hot. It wouldn't unlock at all. I replaced the actuator & haven't had a problem since.

@Max - Is the actuator the part in the edge of the door that engages with the post when the door closes? Or doe the actuator make the lock post go up and down? Do you have a part number,
?

Yes. I'm not sure of the part number but it is the electronic part that actually pushes the door know up & down.
