This morning, ETC was smoking more than Snoop Dogg after a major score....

I refuse to pay low 4 figures to fix the leak, so is there any way to line the exhaust pipe, or whatever it is that the oil is dripping onto to keep it from smoking?

Do they make insulated exhaust pipes that get less hot?

Unfortunately that "crossunder" pipe from the front exhaust manifold is shoehorned in there with not much room to spare, and it already has a surrounding heat shield so as not to transfer excess exhaust heat to the oil pan/transmission metal. There is no room left to work with.

The only known fix is to remove the transmission and replace the offending seal(s).

Thanks -- I'll guess I'll wash the undercarraige every other day...
