Rear Hatch Problem ?

Last night I decided to detail my truck in the garage. So I had my rear hatch open but because of the garage door the hatch cannot fully open. So I had it half cocked while detailing the truck and after I was done everything closed fine. Well this morning I go to open the hatch and there was a lot of resistance going up and it would just slam down shut (the opposite of what its supposed to do). So I am thinking because the hatch was not fully open for an hour or so, the shocks somehow got messed up. There was no signs of oil leaking from the either one of the shocks. Anyone have any suggestions?
