Rear end gear ratio change

Have an 07 XLR and wish to change my rear end gear ration from OEM to 3.42 Has anyone done this and if so are you happy with the outcome?
Also, want to change sway bars from OEM to ZO6 sway bars. I've been led to believe they do a better job and fit up perfectly. Any comments?

Yes it has been done. Not cheap and quite involved.
