So I was washing my car today and kind of noticed that the rear bumper cover feels a bit loose. It looks fitted fine, but when I push on it I feel like it moves a bit more than it should? Anything special about the way this attaches to the car?

I had the same issue a few months back...took it to the dealer and they said some of the "fastners" were loose/missing....replace same under warranty...no subsequent issues....

The fascias on these cars have a few fasteners that are actually designed to tear off in an accident. Reason being that using a hard attachment and being in a minor collision you transfer the impact to the sheet metal causing damage to it and making the repair more expensive. If your car has been rear ended even lightly, like say in a parking lot there may not be any visual damage but the brackets that hold these covers on are plastic so a few of the snaps could be broken. The sides of your cover have one screw in the wheel well (tip of the cover)and then snap into a bracket. The whole rear area has like 4 or 5 snaps that also snap into a plastic bracket. It should not be loose but I think they all have some movement in the up down position.
