I’ve had a rattle for a long time and finally got to replacing my BOVs with turbo smart valves. When I went for a drive and got the BOV tuned right, I noticed one rattle was gone and it no longer sounds like a cicada under the hood when I turn it off, but when I downshift into the 2-4k RPM range it still rattles and almost sounds like the valves are rattling. Any ideas on what the check next?
I also can hear the transmission whining when it’s cold and sometimes when warm, but definitely less noticeable. Is that normal? No clicking noises when I shift.
I’ve loved this car and had tons of fun with it but I’m not willing to dump a ton of money on it and am considering selling.
