The AM on our red 2011 is bad (can't get Rush unless directly in Tampa or St Pete) but the FM is ok and both are ok on the black 2011, so it's got to be something loose or not well connected.

Have you installed any new LED lighting? If you have consider they may have been a cheap price. They probably work great as far as candelas but unfortunately those cheap LED’s are commonly known to cause disturbance when listening to AM or FM radio. CD’s, AUX and even bluetooth will work fine but standard radio will be full of static. I have looked into this myself as it happened to me when I installed LEDs on my Jeep. Sadly the general consensus says it cannot be fixed completely only improved. When buying LED lighting it should be high quality or else the dreaded static will come from cheaply made LED drivers. Good luck
