On my 1996 STS the the radiator cooling fans work but do not turn on until the engine gets too warm. Is there a way of adjusting the temperature sensor so it will turn on the fans sooner and keep the engine cooler? Please let me know. thanks.

Turning on the A/C will keep the engine cooler because both fans come on.

to my understanding the cooling fans don't come on until the temp is 220 plus I'm thinking this is normal because my 97 sts does the same thing with no overheating problems.

open the hood and look at your fans. When you turn on the A/C the right (passenger) fan turns on automatically. When the A/C is off, the fan does not run unless the car is running hot.

Why do you want to override it. Let the engine run at the tempurature it was designed to run at. Sounds like yours is operating as designed.

To answer your question, no, there is no way to adjust the sensor.
