Man he was fast too.. but it wasnt from a dead stop. He caught up to me on the 101 north up around scottsdale.. then he floored it, i dropped 2 gears caught him, and i was pinging 7k on each shift,, no limiter on mine, remember, muhahaha... we hit way up into the 3digits in the speed.. nose to nose a good way.. we finally had to back down due to traffic coming up quiick ahead of us.. i wormed way thru trafiic too get ahead of him he tried to do the same... i am not sure what the specs are on that mercedes, but it is fast.. i would of liked to tried him from a dead stop on racing it.. but he went like 1 car past me kinda easy then gunned it, when it first started.. he could have done it even ya know.. cheatin &*%*& .. that basterd..lol.. but he did not know what bllitzer had under the hood, and no he was not too happy when i caught him so fast either,, the look he had, oh my i wish i had a camera.. you could see that "i want to vomit look" in his eyes... he was a doctor, i could see his scrubs on him, or he was in the medical field... either way, he took the indian school rd exit pretty fast..
i will find him again one day, this time hopefully at a red light.. lol
if i had 400 mor feet, his ass would have been mine... but i do not like to race in traffic with lifes in danger other than mine..
but i imagine he spent quite a penny on that ride, and the blitzman did not make his night go easy.. lol

I don't know what you have either, but I'm curious to what year it was you raced. The new SL600's are 493 hp and more than 530 lb/ft of torque. I've driven the CL600 and CL65, both are very fast, the 65 just SICK fast.

well, i know they are fast, trust me.. i got a taste of how fast they are.. but just go back and read up on what i do have, they is alot of what i have done to my car in these forums and ppl that have met me.. btw im over 500hp sanchez.. you must have missed out on alot that has been going on lately.. you can read about it in the jan issue. ;)

The '05 SL600's had a curb weight of 4429 so V's have a few pounds on them. Blitzer has a ton of work done to his car but I'm pretty sure he hasn't come close to the $130k sticker of the SL600... yet. :sneaky:

They are sweet. The SLR is nasty. Nice run, the guy must of been shizzin himself. No one wants to run around here.

Blitz, nice run. Way to set the record straight for the M-B Boobs.

Side Note: What was the final number with your last dyno session? I remember the car was running rich and you had some issues with the plugs. Have you been back for a dyno session in the last 2-3 weeks?

600RWHP is a lofty goal... I'm rooting for you

Kill stories are seldom worthy of their own thread (except when you get to run a SL600, Ferrari or the like). I had a great run tonight in the HOV lanes. The lanes open up at 6pm to all traffic. So I hit the lanes just as they switched over to "all traffic", I mean the timing was perfect. Up ahead just merging in from the military base I see a blue WRX STi. What fun. I roll up next to him and we make eye contact. We're both all smiles, thumbs up, etc. He knows what the V is and of course everyone knows what the Subie is. I goose it once to see if he's game and he is. We load the cars up high rpm style, I'm at 45 in second. Not sure where that's at but the V is screamin'. 3 honks and we're off. I pull a quick car length and then it's basically even. Shifting into 3rd the V wiggles trying to maintain traction and he's right there. As I shift into 4th I start to draw away ever so slightly. We settle down to 50/55 as we begin to overtake traffic ahead. I yell to him, "there's no way that's stock". He nods his head. I yell to him I've got exhaust and CAI. He yells back, "that thing sounds just sick at speed!". Another thumbs up and were off. Great fun, good driver, no bullshit, no surprises. Just the way I like it.

Guys,
Again.. my V is way over stock. I used the newest stoker kit which will make our ls6 a 401, if you use there crank, I have 3 times over the stock cam we have, plus the huge Volant CAI, 60 pound injectors, got rid of of the inline fuel up, went with dual electric holley fuel pumps and a regulator to maintain what the maggie needs.. just the motor without the maggie made a 460hp.. so when i added the maggie to the stroker motor, now just use your imagination..

yes i just did the newest dyno run, i have now 539rwhp, somewhere around 620 at the crank maybe a little more.. the 20's series tires really slowed me down some, so thats another reason i have changed my cam 3 times now. my pistons are ceramic coated for even burns, and excellent for nitrous that will be on within 10 days.. the nitri shot should push it into my 600 goal now..
NOw, the only thing i have not chnaged as of yet is the rear end.. im still paranoid about it, but it did hold up on the run at the track all 6 of them..
Im still working on the rear end change atm, im not trusting the newest gm change at right now, but thats a different story... also im trying to keep my bottom end close to my top end, i might have to do a gear ratio change to get there..

If anyone has a a belief problem, well come on down to AZ, and i will personally take you to the track, then stop down the road at friends dyno shop, and we will see just the facts are.

I have been so damn busy latley, and having to prove constantly what is what and all that crap is a waste of time..
everyone that has pm'd me i havw offered to help them.. anyone of those guys that did so, ask them.. i try my best to help each of us as a hvae been helped in here..
IF i can get the smaller 2.60 pulley with the next 3 days and get more than one, i will give maggie owners the chance to get one sooner than the 3 week wait.
I suggest you chk your heads and psitons before you raise your boost.. that ceramic coating only cost me around 50 bucks each piston... very good investment if you ask me.

i never got the chance to open the fully on that sl600, too much traffic.. i never said i beat him or i could beat him.. all i said was for the short distance we ran i gave him and his merc a run for the money.. and it was a good one.. one of the hardest runs i have done in awhile.. i was hitting all of 6900 on the tack each shift and wot.. it was screaming.. but he never left me standing in the wind.. and thats a promise.. one day i will bring my camera next time, keep in my V, just for runs like this.. this way no more "oh bs" attitudes... film dont lie..

Blitzer, 493 HP at 5K rpm, Twin turbo V12.
A very nice car to guage your perfomance work. Based on your mods, I think you would kill him if you are all out!
If he is 493 at the crank that's probably 390-400 at the wheels through is automatic tranny.

yeah it was hard to tell, that basterd was fast and got the lead on me, what he did was go ahead of by almost a car and a half and then stuck his thumb out the window like ok lets roll... that was bs... if he had nuts he should habe went up next to me, we could have took a exit and i have no problem losing.. thats what i need, thats my motivation to keep going..
but that car was small, can not be to heavy with all that hp.. he took off quick left me by 1 car then i dropped 3 gears and wot back thru them.. when i finally caught him, his eyes was huge, or he was wearing coke bottles.. i think he new it was a V, thats why he did what he did, but he had know way of knowing what all i have put into my car.. my wife thanks i have 69k in it, i swear to GOd, i have every bit of 89k maybe more.. that rear spoiler cost 750 bucks, which i thought was high as hell, but damn.. no one has shit for our car,,, then when they see CADILLAC, they all assume we are doctors, lawyers, or some 150k or more a year rich man... and they screw us all..
Thats why i tell each of you we are in this together.. Some ppl have alot of money and it is no big deal to them, others this is there dream car and working there asses off just to make payments and insurance payments.. I am lucky, my land devolpments and condos took off, so i considered mysellf blessed, and trustme, there is not a day that dont go by when I thank GOD.

There is some damn smart ppl in these forums, and if we can put all our heads together, pull some strings, do some group buys, we all can have 500hp machines..

But we have to make certain that new DIFF is magic and not just a show.. if it is not, we are so screwed.. thats why i am not giving up on my rear end project.. i havbe already spent around12k not counting the other V i bought just to be able to do it..
But i think i have a fix, that will handle 800hp.. even if you drop the clutch at4k.. just give me a little time..
I need another 15 days to make sure.. then i will put it in mine, film the runs, drop the clutch, you will be able to see, and drive it like a street rod should be driven.. none of us want to constantly clean out Onstar button from pushing all the time.

LOOK at MOORE performance... they are awesome, and they have done quite one hell of a job on there V.. you look at there filmage and see the burn outs, the abuse they put into it, and yes they have there secret of keeping together..

I promised moore when i get done i will send them the schematics, blueprints and i have done, plus budget reports on dollars spent and match up on what is considered to be to costly and what can or could be afforded. Im great on graphs, but im going to give it my best shot. So Moore peformance, thankyou for what all you have done to your V to allow us to know what it is capable of. I will have that for you guys shortly.

but one last thng.. VOLANT got a cts-v at the production site and they are seeing what and where they can make the best product for the V. Mine was slight too tall, but thats the price you pay for a prototype, they have my stock intake V air box, is will not be long they will havw an awesome Cai.. if you think it or if it will be overpriced to you, trustme, there product is great! i would have paid everybit of 500 for it.. no whistling, sealed box, my God what an easy install. And it looks awesome, it looks like it was made for our car.. The intake yube is much better, handles higherheat, allows better airflow thru it, the filtler is huge, but so damn easy to change and maintain. when i throttle up at an idle i can a slight flex in the top of the removable lid that allows access to the filter.. truly awesome. i will update soon as the new batch is shipped nationwide,, who knows someone could hear before i do.

rofl... Hey i just blasted a Viper like an hour ago... the are so overrated in my opinion.. they look great, they sound great, but that pricetag should be about 10k less. I had two ppl in my V also... we raced 3 times before he gave up.. i even let him take the lead on purpose the second go around, by 1 car lenght... i think that is what made him mad.. but thats how i race smetimes.. i let them get in between gears sorta where they have committed them selfs.. then i slam down a gear, wot it, bang 3rd and it screams.. My V has such a high power range 2-3 its like 1-2 almost.. pulls so hard thu all gears, even 4th feels like 3rd.. oh yeah, my wife is home im ging to the tahoe so i can find my dyno sheet, shit almost forgot.. brb

na it dont bother me, it used to, but not any more.. i am 40 years old. i have alot of pateints now and i have learned alot..
i built and use my money for my dream.. not to impress anyone else..
i have no problem helping anybody that needs help or advice for what i have done.. I AM BY NOT ALL MEANS some sort of an expert, but i do use excellence over quantity. I have no problems sharing my dreams with anyone that wishes to hear them.. I do not go out of my way to insult or use negative energy to hurt ones feelings..
One thing i will tell you guys is this, friends are hard to come by, esp the ones you can trust, that is something no money can buy, i earn my friendship by showing trust, integrity, and being loyal. one thing i will brag on is this, i feel i am or could be one the best freinds you have ever had in your life, if ppl wish to make jokes, try to cut me to the bone, then thats there right to do so, it is there negative energy they are using in a really bad way.
Hey if some wish not to believe me, so what,, the ones that stand by what i say or do i thank you from the bottom of my heart.
All i know is this, when i get into my V, start the engine, and get that grin i earned over alot of hard spent dollars, well that is my reward, and let me tell you something, nothing can take that away from me, and it feels soo damn good.

Thanks to the friends i have out there, some of you are better freinds, even if i do not know all of you personally, a few i do, but the ones i dont, are better friends than i have known in my lifetime, that gives me all i need to keep going, and i thank you for it, trust me, i'll never forget you guys & each of you know who you are..
