Has anyone modified their exhaust to get rid of the moan at 1,700~2000 rpm under moderate throttle? That's freeway cruising revs and every time you give it a bit of gas to pick up a little speed it moans a resonant moan. It's annoying as hell and decidedly unrefined. Has anyone tried replacing the pipes going to the stock mufflers with packed resonator tubes or something to quiet down the exhaust and hopefully get rid of the low RPM resonance?

Not exactly what you're looking for, but I have the 2017+ GM performance exhaust kit and love it. No drone at any rpm range. As for the moan I think I know what you're talking about, its still present with the GM exhaust kit, but the tone of it has changed slightly.

April 9th, I'm having the GM performance exhaust kit installed along with replacing both turbochargers. Dealer is covering the turbochargers due to the waste gate rattles.

You're gonna love it!!! I cant get enough of this exhaust, and when driven normally its no different than stock. Wait till you hear the shift "pops"

I'm looking forward to hear this car. The dealer is going to have my car for 3 days to do the turbo`s and exhaust. So I'm in a 2019 XT5 loaner with 200 miles on it. If I wanted an SUV I would buy the xt5, they ride really nice and have a lot of power when you push it.

I like the XT5, no real complaints with it other than the awful dings and chimes that YOU CANT lower the volume on. Drove me nuts, especially when getting home from work at 10pm and all I want is a nice peaceful drive, then as I pull into the garage to put it into park it dings at you like you're about to crash into something when all you did was put it into park lol. Park sense also has an obnoxiously loud chime that isn't softer and lower volume like in the CTS. The chime volume in the menus doesn't seem to have any effect on anything. Oh well., I guess overall thats a kind of minor gripe.

I'm getting frustrated, the dealer said it would take 2 to 3 days to replace turbochargers and install the cat back exhaust and today makes 4 days now and no word from them when it's going to be done. I really want my car back. Thinking I should have install the exhaust myself.

Turbo replacement is a BIG job. Dealer had mine for a full week to complete that. Exhaust install is simple and should take no more than 30 minutes at the dealer. I did mine myself in less than an hour.

They called me tonight and said it was done to come and pick it up except they were closing 30 minutes when they called. I'm 30 miles away in crap California heavy traffic so there was no way I could make it. I'll be there as soon as they open the doors on Monday. Can't wait to hear the new exhaust and no rattle from the turbos. Although they did say it wasn't the normal waste gate rattle. It was from the turbo's causing the noise.

Finally got my car back and it sounds great with the new cat back exhaust !!! 2 new turbos sound great also. I checked on gmpartsdirect website and the parts alone from them would have been $2200 for the parts and turbos. that doesn't include any labor. I'm sure glad I didn't have pay for that repair.
