Does anyone know why the manual option is no longer available on the Cadillac website/ Build your CTS? Only choice for CTS 3.6 DI Rear Wheel Drive is the automatic.

Thanks in advance for your input/ answers:thumbsup:

For whatever reasons, the Cadillac "Build Your Own" website has always been problematic, unreliable. You might use the Online Order / Reference Guide (http://eogld.ecomm.gm.com/NASApp/do...=6547&section=oi_def&page=1&pagenum=1&butID=3) to build your CTS, and then go to one of the many other websites to get MSRP, discounts, rebates, incentives, and estimated selling price.

It's my understanding that MN6 manual transmission is standard for base non-DI RWD, available option for DI RWD w/ FE3 18" Summer Tire Performance Package only and for the CTS-V.

I am looking to replace my "05 manual and there area several base 09s on the lots.

For 2010, i just got a quote on a base unit, and the manual transmission is not an option. It stated discontinued. If you go to other websites, you will find that the PFI 3.6l will be replaced bya 3.0l DI. 260HP and lower torque. This was also mentioned on the websites I visited.

Very disappointing, but understandable. They offered a manual primarily to support their european sales.marketing strategy. This has been dumped in their current situation.
