Questions - Sport v Sport Platinum interior leather quality

OK ... like many here considering ordering a Sport Platinum but I'd like the Whisper Beige interior but I do not care for it in the Sport Platinum with the wood that's in the platinum I like the wood in the Sport better and the fact the floor and headliner is black.

And am I crazy or is the Whisper Beige in the Sport more of a cream while the Whisper Beige in the Sport Platinum is more of a true Cadillac traditional beige?

How is the quality of the leather in the Sport vs the Sport Platinum. I usually go all out on vehicles and load them but the semi-aniline leather in the top trim is often very, very soft (it is in our Black Label Navigator) and kids are too hard on it. Is the Leather in the sport that's a lower quality more hearty as in would hold up to wear and tear a bit better?

Is there anything I'm tangibly missing out on besides massage seats if I went with Sport over Sport Platinum? I likely would get black interior if I went Sport Platinum, that's how I feel about the beige in the platinum, but ideally would like the light interior in the Sport with that wood but the Platinum features ...

Sorry for all the questions ... I haven't been able to sit in any around here to be able to gauge them.

I can comment on the sport Platinum leather feel. It is not "too soft" in my opinion. Seems pretty durable and I am happy to have the higher quality leather. The stitching pattern is pretty tight, so not a lot of loose movable parts. I am not able to compare to the sport though.

The only other thing I would say is I feel like the wood is more apparent in photos of the cars than when you're actually sitting in the vehicle. The angles that you are sitting at, it doesn't have a huge amount of impact on the driver experience. Arguably more so for the passenger as the wood on the center console is on their side, and the bar running across the dash is also more in their view. I would suggest chosing the leather type and color you prefer, rather than a choice for the wood. I agree with you that some of the other woods do look pretty neat, but in the end it's the less prominent feature.

I love the semi-aniline leather but I don't have little kids...the softness is why I got the Plat. As for the whisper beige, I wanted that but since I drive an hour each way to work in blue jeans, I was very concerned about them wearing off and turning the seats blue - and I know that is a problem with light color interiors so I went with the dark auburn. Hope that helps...

Don’t worry about it being light , whisper beige is a amazing look , I have white in all my bmws and it cleans up very easy with today’s leather cleaner , only newer jeans leaves a blue mark behind but it wipes right off , if I did not buy my satin steel with black off the lot I would have ordered the whisper it’s a nice color

Thanks everyone!

So am I crazy that the Whisper Beige in the Sport looks like a different shade (light creme) versus in the Sport Platinum (typical tan/beige)?

I am not crazy about massage seats myself. My wife's Volvo's are great, but I also don't find myself using them a whole lot. Her on the other hand ... she uses them from the moment she sits down. So that's where I think they'd be good on a road trip as she'd use them constantly. Are they more of an air bladder moving around (like our Navigator) or more of a firm kneading/rolling motion like on Volvos?

I love the whisper beige in the non platinum. I really liked how they combined it with black elements. I did wind up with a sport platinum with whisper beige. I do like the leather better , alcantara headliner ect. The blue jeans are a bit annnoying but like others said it’s only new pairs and it’s more on the fabric where your knee hits. I love the wood and the massaging seats are one of my favorites. I had them in my wife’s gle , and other cars and I like Cadillacs the best. I personally think the platinum is worth it
