Hey. I'm new to GM cars, and I need a bit of guidance.

My car began stalling when I lift my foot off the gas. The only code is P095 which states that it detected a stall (thank you very much.) Going through the diagnostics, it says to check the TPS and the ISC. The TPS seems fine. I went into the PCM and initiated the ISC cycling (PO07) and noticed that it would extend if I lifted the throttle off the plunger. If the plunger was touching the throttle it would just quiver, but not extend.

It seems to me that the ISC should have the strength to push the throttle during the test. Is that correct? Does the ISC need replacing?

Thanks in advance.

Correct. That's how the idle speed is controlled. Sounds like a failing ISC motor to me.

If memory serves me correctly, I think once you lift off of the plunger, it should go into off idle and retract. Basscat may be able to confirm that if I am correct.
