I need to know if I am installing the oil pump correctly in my 99 Northstar. The FSM is not clear on the pump drive does it go on the crankshaft first then the pump slides over it or does the pump go first and the drive follows it?
Thanks for your help.

The drive collar goes on first and the pump is installed so the drive flat engages the pump. Pump mounting bolt (3 bolts) torque is 89 in/lb +35 degrees.

As much as is possible - fill the pump with 30W oil.
