Question: clutch slave covered under warranty?

I have an 06V with 29K miles, I just had the clutch replaced yesterday at the dealership and they told me it also needed a new slave cylinder as mine was leaking. I havent gone to get the bill and pick up my car until later today. Is the slave covered under warranty. I just want to have my info before they try to snowball me. if it is covered shouldnt they pay all the labor for the pull out and replacement? I supplied them with a new flywheel and clutch assembly which i paid for ( not the issue ) just want to know whats fare..

At 29k I would think they should have covered the clutch as well but maybe not. Depends on what it was replaced for I guess. But to answer your question, yes, the slave should be covered under warranty. I walked into the dealer with mine in hand and got it covered under warranty.

I do not have a copy of the 2006 warrany language, but have looked at my 2005 warranty. The exclusions for maintenance items specifically states "Clutch Linings." I would interpret that to mean that the clutch slave cylinder is not excluded and should be covered. Also, as cts154 alluded to, if the clutch was replaced for anything other than "clutch linings" it should also be covered. If your clutch was slipping it was probably linings - but if it was sticking to the floor or doing other strange things it was probably parts other than linings.
I have a GMPP warranty. it covered my slave cylinder and rear end without any cost. Mine is an 06 with about 50K at time of replacement.
