My wife is looking at one of these locally. It has 39K miles on it for $29K, it was a 2 year personal lease. I know the salesman and he tells me it is mostly highway miles and was well cared for. I usually would not consider a car with than many miles on it, but it is blue and my wife has to have a blue one. He has agreed to put a brand new set of Michelin tires on it for her....so first off do you guys think this is too much? And secondly, is the 2013 a good car or does it have a lot of problems? I have a 2012 SRX and have never had a single problem with it.

Nothing wrong with the 2013's at all. Mine has been perfect. Impossible to say whether $29,000 is too much or not as you didn't provide us with the trim level it is or what options it has and doesn't have. Big difference in price between a base model with no options at all and a loaded Platinum.

That 2013 sapphire blue is gorgeous, love that color. With 39k miles in 2 years, highway miles are likely. Good luck!

39K miles is just broke in so I wouldn't sweat the miles since at $29K sounds like a good deal to me. What trim level is it. That makes a big difference like mentioned above.

Sorry I didn't provide more info....it is a Luxury trim and it is also CPO.

Don't take the salesman's word for the service records, they can print up the records if the person who leased it had it serviced. Sometimes people who lease don't care for the cars as an owner might.

Going to look at another XTS tomorrow, still haven't ruled this one out but this other one only has 21K miles on it. Thanks for all the input, would still welcome any other comments as we have not made up our mind yet.

Take time to go to kbb.com (Kelly Blue Book) and find out exactly what the car is worth, both buying from the owner value and buying from a dealer value (dealer hangs $2000-$4000 on top of true value). Then you will have no doubts about the price.
