Hello Cadi world!
I'm a proud, 2 month old owner of a 04 Cadillac Escalade. My question to you all is there a way to play DVD's in where you put the navigation dvd?

No, you can not play movies from the nav dvd slot. You can however purchase a navtv adapter that will let you input a video signal to the nav screen. Do a search for navtv on here and you will see a lot of discussion about it. You will have to have a separate video source, for example i use the rear seat entertainment in mine for the video for the front. You can also add a backup camera with that setup. Do a search and check it out.
