I run across a lot of these cars when I surf looking for the right bargain.

My assumption is that they're funeral vehicles and airport "shuttle" cars. Some probably have been maintained well, some not.

They have a few features that the others don't, like an oil cooler, back-seat vanity mirrors, and a 150,000-mile warranty.

Anything else you can tell me? Should I stay away from these things? I'll be looking for a 2000-2003 DeVille with low miles in about 4-6 months.

Thanks.

I would stay away from them, just because most of them are probably not driven lightly. But there is really only one guy here that can answer this question, and im sure he'll chime in.

There aren't many other differences. The W20 (livery car) is basically just a Deville. I would agree with Brett that they are most likely beaten up pretty well to by the time they are put up for sale. Usually when a livery car is put up for sale it's because they are either at a point where the operating cost has increased to a point where they are not a money-maker, or the body style makes the car appear dated.
Overall, a decent mechanic could tell you how beat up the car is fairly easily.
BTW, the springs on the 2000-up Deville suck and sag badly.

I know that some of them have thicker springs and swaybars. I was just at my dealer today, checking on that. The rear swaybar is 20mm instead of 18. I think the front is thicker too, but I couldn't get a number. Basically the cars are just as good in all measurable ways, but chances are they have been beaten on pretty hard and have a lot of miles. If you do consider one, take it to a mechanic and have them go over it carefully. If it's in good shape, great! But chances are it will have some serious wear.

Thx for the info, fellas. If I get lucky and find one with low, LOW miles, I'll probably jump on it, but I don't think it's likely. I'm looking for <30,000.

Does anyone here know anything about this place?

They seem to have a great inventory, and the prices are much lower than retail.
