question about intake

I was in Kragen Auto the other day picking up a K&N oil filter and noticed they have an intake for the V now. They are quoting a 19hp gain from it. I know there have been numerous threads about this subject but in a word, has anybody done a dyno before/after with just an intake even close to a 19hp gain?

19 hp is BS. You can't get that sucking cold air through the MAF and a straight tube with no filter at all. Trust me on this.

Well, I'm with lawfive, 19 hp is total BS.

Hello, 19 is a little far fetched.... 15 is MAX (Volant is the best fit), & Yes, We have made HP differences here at Big 3 with just CAI.

Thanks Guys!
Sometimes I am a little bit of a retard.
When that happens I might ask stupid questions.
I figured maybe 6-8 hp gain at best.
Just wanted to see what came back.

Anyway again, thanks...
