:welcome: He may be right but don't overlook other possibilities like alignment or worn steering/suspension.
Search the tire and brake section. There's tons of material on this topic!
welcome....
question about shake might be better answered in the Deville forum
but I have a 2004 Deville and the Shake is there too. Depends on how bad it is whether or not its a problem. I never drove a car without a minor shimmy at a certain speed. Might want to search the DeVille Forum for the answer. I know its been discussed. I had the same question when I first got mine.

Somewhat common problem, usually cured by a good road force balance.

The dealer is partly correct, there is a TSB on this known problem. Usually having the tires Road Force Balanced fixes or greatly reduces the vibration. If the dealer had a Hunter Road Force Balancer they should have been able to help you, most Cadillac dealers have this balancer.
I had the same thing with my '03 DTS and Road Force Balancing greatly reduced the vibration, I cannot say that it is totally gone though.
