Anyone have any experience with the 'cheaper' brands of projectors? Such as Anzo or Spyder? I am thinking about buying some for my 05 EXT.....I dont do much night driving so mainly just for looks!...I have been doing alot of reading and seems everyone on the web says not to waste time and to buy retrofit or something like that? which to be honest i have never heard of or looked into doing, it seems like a lot of work that I don't have the skill or patience to do myself!...any suggestions or comments on any experience with projector headlights???...

There is a few members on here who swapped out the stock housings for them with pretty good results

I am debating on either swapping or doing a projector retro with my headlights

Btw projection headlights rock when aimed correctly(fuller beam path, sharper cutoff plus the looks are awesome)

I put Spyder projectors on my 04 and really like them. I aligned them like this, on a flat level surface pull within 2 feet of the wall and mark with tape the the vertical and horizontal center of the headlights. Back straight up 25 feet and adjust both to be back centered on the vertical and the horizontal shadow line down 2-2.5 inches on both. When I drive up behind a car at a stop sign the shadow line is right at the bottom of their back window. From 25 feet I centered the high beams on the cross marks. Once you try them on the highway you may want to tweak the high beams to your liking.

Awesome, the Spyder's are the ones i was kind of leaning towards, could you post a pic of what they look like in your truck? with the LEDs on? I cant seem to find any pics with the spyders on, thanks

Seems like Retros would be the way to go, but like i said i dont have the time or skill to mess around with taking the lights apart and doing all of that! And on top of it i really dont drive at night too much so im not extremely worried about having the best light output possible!

Once you get the low beams to your liking the highs will be same as I did that on my truck(also going to do the same on my car)
On my car the low beams claim to shine 650 feet down the road and the highs claim 1650 feet needless to say they really light up the road at night

On my 04 the Spyder headlights the high and low beams are individual adjustable and the high beams were off definitely off.

Tip for next time use the quote button on the post of the member you want to refer to
LOL well lets see, there is one single person here who stated they have Spyder projector headlights, so I figured it was pretty obvious who I was asking to post a picture of them! but I guess not, next time I will try to be more specific!

I still have my stock housings as I haven't ordered my aftermarket housings yet

Here are a couple of pictures. Day and night. The HID lamps are not on because they blast the camera. Click on them for a larger picture. <img src="http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=282962"/> <img src="http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=282970"/>
They look great
Happen to have a beam pic of how the lights look shining on a wall(cutoff pic)

Wow those do look nice. How hard are they to switch out from the OEM ones? Easy or Hard DIY project outside of making sure they project straight.
Most I have seen look plug and play
You just unplug the multi pin harness from the old housing after removing the retaining pins

The ballast harness for the low beam goes through the bottom of the housings and has to be removed to use with the new housings

I had to wire the vertical and Halo LEDs to the parking lamps. They were not wired in to the plug correctly for my 04. They said it should have been but maybe somebody goofed at the factory. I don't have any pictures against a wall.
