Can anyone lead me to some information regarding the reproggramming of a remote that I can purchase thru ebay... my door locks stick every year in my 98 catera during winter, this morning I almost couldnt get in, I think its time ot buy a aftermarket remote and program it myslf

Take the inside panel off the door ( you're gonna do this anyway if you buy custom solenoids). Spray the links and solenoid with Krown or any other similar rustproofing. Even if you're in cold weather this should make them work a lot better. But I have had to change the solenoid in my wife's Windstar door lock. They just seemed to get weak. (partial short in the electrical coil of the solenoid?)
