I managed to snap a couple of pics of my car after just getting the 3M Xpel ppf done and a tint job.

PPF was Xpel done for the front bumper, hood (bikini cut), front fenders, mirrors, rockers, bottom of doors and lower rear quarter. Oh, and door pulls too, almost forgot them.

Tint is 35%.

Here is a pic or two. Finally, the car doesn't look like a fish bowl anymore

What is Xpel? is that the type of 3M film or the installer?
Xpel is a type of paint protection film. I think maybe 3m bought them out, but not sure about that. Anyway here is more info.

I did the Xpel over the standard 3M because on a black car it gives much less of an orangepeel look, especially on the hood. I was also told it is easier to install and looks better on black since that color shows every little imperfection. The installer did a great job.

Thanks all for the nice words, and yes I wish that damn fender vent was not there.

That is the ballpark I was in. Just check on the bra and what areas you are getting. Without question, get the rockers and lower portion of the doors and quarters done.

For reference, my tint is 35% and it is not all that dark. 50% is just too light for me.

35% he said lots are using that, and the cops love it. He told me he gets about 3 calls a month about a ticket from people , if the removes the tint the city or county will cancell the ticket..... he charges $140 for removeal on a V.. I asked him...

The cops 'love it' how? So they can ticket you? I'm unsure of what you mean. FWIW, my wife's '07 Charger RT/RT had 35% tint all the way around and we never got looked at twice by any LE, whether local or CHP.

I really like your car- very nice; and the PPF is a nice touch- a must, actually.

Oh, and in spite of the plethora of fake vents on cars (which I don't like); I like those- especially since they are functional.
