I come seeking advice from those who've been there.
I need to replace the transaxle and A/C compressor on a '89 Eldo; I have three options as I see it.

1. Pull the whole powertrain out the top.
2. support the engine in the car, and remove the cradle, then tranny.
3. Drop the whole cradle and powertrain out the bottom, like a Northstar.

Considering the compressor's being replaced, I need to remove the radiator
and condenser, so this complicates what to do.

I've done a number of Northstars, but not the 4.5, so which way would YOU go?
