Hi, everytime it gets cold (-25 to -30•c) my tailgate does not want to operate. I can do it manually by lifting the tailgate, but it won't work on the controller or the overhead button in the front. When I press the button on the remote the lights flash once, but nothing happens. Is this normal? It's a 2011 Escalade.

Yeah mines been working too in the garage. And when I was outside it wasn't working. Thought something was broken at first after a carwash overhead door dropped on my roof. Thought it damaged something. But now I have read up about it a bit more and it is normal. Don't know why, but something we have to live with I guess.

Edmonton for me :)
