-31 F here this morning. Are Caddy's or GM's for that matter notorious for really stiff steering when it gets really cold? Like I mean I know that is cold as shit and everything is stiff, but my car was really stiff. Maybe I should try a fluid change.

it makes sense to replace the fluid, but this is not the cold. It's not so cold that gets tough.

Any hydraulic system will have some stiffness until the fluid warms up.

I understand the cold oil theory, and I know it will be a bit stiffer but mine was really stiff. Just wondering if it was a Caddy "quirk".

There's always the possibility that the speed sensitive steering was too cold as well.

That is if your CTS came with it. Idk the RPO code at the moment.
