Has anyone ran into an issue with the return hose for 1984 Eldorado 4.1 that goes from gear to reservoir? I ordered the hose but everywhere i look the hose is different from what was installed originally.
AC Delco 36-363910 is what was ordered. From the FSM this seems to be for a commercial chassis or limo?

I ordered that from RockAuto for my '84 Seville which is the same for the Eldorado. RockAuto shows that same part number as what you posted.
It was either the return or the supply, I don't remember which one I heated the metal pipe up some and I had to bend it
to get a better fit.

The OEM return used this fitting below, part number 7833187 and a hose clamped to it.

36363910 interchanges to 7833187.

If you lose the o-ring seal or muff it up here is the replacement part number, 26001594. You can find those on eBay.
Probably at a local GM dealer also. GM Parts Direct shows $7.43 discounted to $4.38 but by the time you add on the $50 shipping....

The hose size is 3/8 inch ID.

It was probably cheaper for GM to switch to one common P/S return line and they dropped using that fitting would be my guess.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I ended up using the original fitting that screwed into the gear box and cut the hose off of the new part in the same length of the existing one. A couple of hose clamps and looks like factory.
