I believe "Astro Roof" referred to the sunroofs with tinted transparent glass panels instead of opaque metal sliding panels. Probably came from the the name Astrodome which was quite a marvel a few years earlier. I didn't realize the Sevilles astro roof was such an expensive option in 1994.

I didn't realize a STS cost so much back in the day. My '95 Sedan DeVille had the original window sticker and it was only $34k new.

Yes, Cadis were really expensive those days, however they could sell them easily to people. My sticker says 49,750$!

I'd also argue that they, especially the Seville, were better looking than the tall, awkward cars on the road today with sterile interiors, though the CTS pulls it off very well.

ha ha ha, just before sending the post, I deleted the last sentence of my post, because it may start a new discussion out of the subject of topic, and the deleted sentence was (As far as I can remember):

These days starting price of CTS is 37K$ (today dollar!) which is much affordable and reasonable than old tags on Cadis, BUT CTS or even STS dont have the characteristics and sprite of old expensive Seville/Deville/Eldo!

:D We both have the same idea about it!

BTW, as far as I know, Seville STS was the most expensive car among other Cadis, but currently I can see that Devilles keeps their value better than Sevilles and a used Deville (especially 2000+ new genes) is more expensive than a Seville with the same year and millage! Why? KBB price for Seville is still high, but in real life you can see they are being sold for much less than that!!!

Here's mine - and you'll notice that the car was built with the 16" wheels, but sold and delivered with the optional 17's with 235/55/17 tires. The original owner's wife wanted the 17's, so the dealer swapped them off another STS - someone got shafted. I located the original owner through Villa Marin Cadillac on Staten Island and he called me about three weeks after I bought the car - he traded it on a new DTC in 9/05 and I bought it in 11/05 - had it trucked to Fitzgerald Cadillac in Annapolis.

Hey Sub, what does the F55 RPO indicate? What's special about it? Is that the code for a Z rated model?

Magnetic Ride Control - same system as Corvette and Ferrari, carried over to some high-end later GM models. STS (Seville Touring Sedan) was the suspension trial horse for the sedan/coupe follow-ons.

January 15, 2002 to end of production (June, 2003) for STS only.

What's so special ?? You gotta drive one at insane speeds over country roads to believe it.

Is it different than the variable dampening struts/ride control system they've been using the the Concours/DTS models?

'90s cars were gorgeous....low and angular. '00's cars got too tall and rounded.

From what I've heard, the difference between the DTS's variable struts and the STS's Magnaride is night and day.

Corvettes & Ferraris use Magnaride, that's how important/groundbreaking it is.

I still have the window sticker for the Sedan deVille, when I sold it, I asked the buyer if I could keep it. He said he didn't care.

$33,000...not too bad for a full sized Cadillac. $33,000 nowadays gets you an A4, TSX or 328i.

Options list. It has pretty much everything I would have ordered, aside from "Option Package C". I did not want leather, loved that cloth.

Delivered in May 1992 to Auburn Nebraska.

I never had the window sticker for the S Class, but I tried to get a reprint, but couldn't find it anywhere. It's original MSRP was around $72,000. I have the window sticker for the Regal in it, but I don't wanna run outside now to get it, so I'll post it tomorrow.

I never had the original sticker to my car, but I do have the original invoice. Stickered for $51,992 with chrome wheels, heated seat package, and wood trim package; Sterling Silver Metallic with Pewter leather interior. Was delivered to Thompson Cadillac in Raleigh, NC on February 25th, 2000 (my 10th birthday) and was then delivered to Trent Cadillac in New Bern, NC on May 12th, 2000 and purchased by the original owners. I have all of the original paperwork including copies of all the work done to the car since it was purchased. It's a thick file to say the least.

Here's the sticker from my '91. Its in pretty crappy condition, but that's because it was rotting away in a drawer in my basement for the last 19 years. You'll notice that the bottom doesn't line up properly, because I had to put two pictures together in paint (too big to fit on the scanner.) Also, the car had the wire wheels on it from the factory, but that option was deleted when the car was purchased because my dad hated them. They wouldn't look good on that car anyways.

Also, at the time the car was purchased, I wouldn't be born for another year or so.

Here's the sticker from the Regal:

I think the GS and my '95 Roadmaster Limited Sedan both had MSRP's in the 27,000 range. I think the RML may have been a few hundred dollars more though.
