i know the ls6 motors are pretty strong and people are saying its not very likely that my headgasket is blown.. and i honestly hope not cuz i'm young have lots of toys and payments.. especially on my v.. but the coolant seems to be dissapearing.. i can see where its ending up but not where its coming from.. its ending up on the passenger side around all the hoses n all over the fan.. but the oil pressure is very high and i checked it hot and the oil level was high also... didnt look "milky" but i can tell im def over due for an oil change...

well im not an expert on the v's.... (still working to that point. also young.) but i do alot of diagnostics for people so maybe i can help. normally if the water is making it out of the motor its not a head gasket. (not saying its impossible) but u can check it pretty easily. your local Oreilly auto parts (i work at one...) has a coolant system pressure tester. it applies pressure where your cap would be. and with the motor off you apply the pressure and usually if its coming from a hose, pump, or any external leak you will be able to spot it. the pressure on the guage will drop and you should be able to hear or/and see the coolant spraying/leaking. pretty simple and easy to do. but if it is a headgasket then you will at least know for sure this way. and it saves you the diagnostic fee at a shop or dealer. hope i could help! best of luck to you man.

but that doesnt explain the high oil pressure..?? i guess i'll just go today get an oil change.. that should tell me if theres coolant in my oil.. so if i have coolant in my oil its def a head gasket correct???

What is 'very high'? My pressure at idle is 42 psi and 52 while cruising at 2000 rpms. You would tend to lose oil pressure if the head gasket was blown. Why would there be coolant on the front side of your motor if the head gasket was bad? It is very common to have the radiator leak. Try revving it up while someone watches.

Coolant in the oil would mean blown head gasket, cracked block or cracked head.

I bet you have two different problems and you're freaking yourself out over nothing.

1. Oil pressure sending unit is kaput (common problem).

2. Radiator is leaking (common problem).
Or after the radiator leaking the water pump and then finally the cap/tank. (In order of most reported on here).

i really think i do have 2 seperate issues... opened the coolant reservoir and no bubbles.. had oil changed was half a quart low and looked fine... no leaking on the actual motor or block.. its so damn tight in there that its hard to really see much hoses look ok... it looks real wet on top of the abs module.. i'm thinking radiator has a crack or caught some gravel from salt truck or something... the two big problems i was dreading i ruled out... radiator or hose or something of that nature is def my problem.. anyone know of a good decent priced place to get a radiator?? and the oil pressure thing is prolly a seperate problem... i never really even looked at it till i started having coolant issues so i dunno how long its been up.. not sure if it just started or if i just never noticed..

You could have been working air out of the system. I would refill a few more times now that you have the leak potentially "fixed" and make sure it wasn't just burping air out.

ill try that.. its usually not this hard to find a leak haha.. u cant really tell cuz wherever it is is leaking into the fan and the fans throwing coolant all over... and u cant see its so damn tight i almost have to take the radiator out and inspect the damn thing..
