So I was driving home last night in my 2004 SLS and noticed that my OEM fog lights were on along with the headlights. I didn't turn the fogs on and the dash indicator was not lit. Pushed the fog light button, the indicator came on and the fog lights got slightly brighter. Pushed the button again and the indicator went out but the fogs stayed on, but they dimmed very slightly. If I wasn't watching the beams I wouldn't have noticed the difference in brightness. Cycled the button a few more times, the indicator worked normally but the fogs stayed on with the same slight changes in brightness coinciding with the pushes of the button. Pulled over, shut the headlights off completely and waited for about 30 seconds. Turned the headlights on and the fogs didn't come on. Drove to the next stoplight and the fogs came on by themselves while I was stopped. Cycled the fog light button a few more times and they stayed on, the dash indicator still working normally.

Pulled codes and had surprisingly few present, only had the usual codes for the steering sensor I haven't replaced yet and 2 codes for my driver door mirror that has been acting goofy for some time. If you all need I can post the codes

I did pull the DRL fuse some time ago and replaced the battery last summer. I check codes every couple weeks just to keep an eye on everything and haven't had anything out of the ordinary in quite awhile.

Before I start poking around I wanted to ask all of you for any ideas or guidance.

I joined this site after buying this car in 2013 with 69K miles. It just turned 90K and I still love this car! The information and the members' knowledge on this site have been invaluable to me in maintaining my Caddy, allowing me to tackle everything myself to this point (except for the engine reseal which was under warranty anyway).

Any help you all could provide would be genuinely appreciated! :worship:

Swapped the fog relay with the horn relay to test, honked the horn and it wouldn't stop going off until I tapped the relay. Me thinks my crude diagnostics found a sticky relay... Got an OEM unit and put it in. We'll see how it goes from here.
