POLL: Colored Brembos on a Matte Metallic wrap

3984 Views 16 Replies 9 Participants Last post by  The Black Dahlia
I'm undecided on which color to paint my stock Front Brembo/rear calipers on my Anthracite Matte Metallic wrapped ATS... What are your guys' thoughts on the right color choice?

1. Gloss Black
2. Blue (to match the blue in the Cadillac crest)
3. Copper/Bronze
4. White

If you have any other color suggestions, let me know!

I vote for bronze. PS no one should vote for option 5. No such thing as spending too much on your car :highfive:

Blue will give the perfect accent colour and just enough to pop with your new colour!
I say black, would blend nicely with your look, a bright, contrasting color would be too glaring. A bright color would also highlight our ugly rear calipers.
Your car looks great, can you throw out a ballpark number on the wrap job?
For me it would be bronze/copper or yellow. I like yellow better but it's all about what you like.
yeah the back ones dont look very impressive.

mine has a black with yellow accents theme going on. i painted the inside of the badges with mostly black and some yellow as well. so it made sense for me to do yellow calipers. the high temp brembo vinyl is doing a good job on them too.

(yes i went with batman center caps cuz batman is awesome and thats literally the first thing girls notice and rly like lol)

i was curious about those...how safe are they? and do they look fake to a point where someone who doesnt know about cadillacs and knows about cars would look at it and assume we dont have brembos stock but we got the brembo covers and we are ricers?

3rd set on third car. Covered an hemi Orange srt 8 in custom orange. They were brembo's by the way.
No problems as they were on 4 years plus. Just did my wife's mercedes with mb logos not brembo. Then
the caddy. They are quality made and look good I think. Different strokes for different folks, but I like the
Look. Not hard to install and very sturdy and will not fade or need to be repainted. Don't look fake in my
opinion. Brembo fans that want to show brembo's will not like them, I'm sure but sometimes you gotta be different. Good ole saying is "they hate us cause they ain't us. Haters gonna hate"
Haters gonna hate and Playas gonna play. You da man.

Another vote for black with the matte wrap. I could see a soft bronze looking good, but not a bright copper.

Never seen the covers like Groomie posted. Up close, I'd opt for paint/powdercoating. If the covers fit like a latex glove and maintained the indents and 3D shape, I'd be more interested. Just curious Groomie, do you track your car or run through mountain roads with a lot of braking? Is there any effect on heat dissipation?

Thanks, the retail price on the wrap (at this specific wrapping location) about $2500. Every place is different and you always will get what you pay for... find a quality guy to do it, its like a tattoo... this ones removable... but like a tattoo nonetheless. lol

Donavo, from one comic/sci-fi fan to another, make it yours. ...my ATS is nicknamed Millennium Falcon, I transformed the light/solar sensor on the dash into a true R2D2 navigator droid (c'mon, we were all imagining it!) and this is what keeps the car cooler on those sunny days...
you can never take customizations too seriously. it's about what YOU enjoy and what makes you enjoy your "investment" even more.

Those look good! I especially like how it makes the rear brakes look, but I have the same kind of concern as Ragtop 99 about heat dissipation and heavy braking...

All in all, from the group's input, I am leaning towards Black (which would only require me to paint the rears a matching black since the front brembos come matte black/opaque gray.... OR the darker blue as a color pop. I just can't commit to the bronze, haha... Actually surprised that that was the highest poll winner!

Thanks guys, will post some pics when it's complete!

I do not track the car but do a little spirited back road driving. No problems with heat or heavy braking and the
caliper covers fit nice and snug plus I like the fact that they are a little different. Everyone's car
looks good. We are all a little different yet we are all a little similar cause we all got the
caddy. I enjoy seeing everyone's cars and comments. Have fun making your cars your own. I know I
have.

I agree we all like different things. To some what we do is ugly, gaudy, stupid whatever is said. I've had it all said from yuk to Tyrone wants his rims back:rolleyes:. Don't really care in the end its your car and makes you happy in this crazy ass world. Just helps you get through all the craziness this world dishes out. When you walk out and see your car and it makes you smile you did it. We are lucky to have a nice car and able to do things to it. I FEEL BLESSED.

That's what it should all be about, the smile when you look back at your ride when you walk away.... Don't take life too seriously, you never get out alive.
