I was bored and my 04 Escalade ESV needed rear brakes. I bought some mid price ones and shuffled home. Pulled off the rear passenger tire, and saw my rotor was pretty well toast. One of the pads was pure metal on metal. So, I ran up and bought 2 mid priced rotors. All done now, no more squealing, grinding or clunking. Went ahead and changed the oil, oil filter (of course) and air filter just because I already had the jack and stands out. Haha. All told, I spent $250 for rear brakes, rotors, oil, filters and front brakes. (Another day when I'm bored for those, they are fair at the moment). Took me about 2 and 1/2 hours. I priced it locally just for fun, I saved, hold your breathe, $500 give or take $50. Oh, ordered my new PCM today too. Should be here Friday. Then I will play some more. Lol
