Re: Placeing the letters back on my ESCALADE
I can't speak to the exact distance from the moulding or door edge, but a quick and dirty method of getting the proper distances between the letters on the badge and keeping it straight... If you still have the Escalade emblem on the other side, or can get access to another Escalade, you can clean the emblem attached to the other door or vehicle with a damp cloth then take a thick piece of clear tape (I forget what the clear tape is called... Masking, or box tape sized is what I mean) and attach it over it keeping it as centered as possible. Then take a sharpie and carefully trace the letters on the other side of the tape. Then after you put adhesive back your LOOSE letters, you can take the same piece of tape and lay your letters onto the outline you traced.
Carefully pick up the whole thing and place it more or less where you've determined the emblem needs to be. Then just apply pressure and lift off the clear tape once the adhesive sticks.
It really is critical to get the Escalade emblem spacing right or it looks like shit. I can't BELIEVE the shop didn't do this before they took them off.
